We will put out a request as we have in the past for uncertainty:

If you or someone you know will be entering Thailand without a visa (visa exempt) tonight after midnight, please share your stamp so we can confirm the 30 vs 60 days.

You can post a photo of it in the comments, or send me a photo in a DM. We're just looking for verification if the changes will in fact be live on the 1st or not.

Thanks

*EDIT

We've received one report of a 30 day stamp after midnight. Awaiting a photo of the stamp and then we'll make a new post about it.

Please note that if we're able to confirm there is no 60 day stamp yet, do not expect anything to change until Tuesday as it's now a holiday weekend. But even then the PM's office said late June or early July, so we'll see.

Hello. I live in Thailand, and my Son was at university overseas until a medical diagnosis meant he had to leave. It is a chronic disease which he undertakes specialist treatment for every 8 weeks, with frequent operations. Unfortunately, he was denied a medical visa as he was not inpatient, and as he is over 18, not classed as my dependent. We have therefore been flying him between in laws elsewhere in Asia and Thailand. This time, though, his next operation has been delayed and he is already in country on a 30 day entry stamp (not a tourist visa). His operation date will take him over the 30 day. Do we need to get him in and out again, or can he extend? We previously tried but were refused in Rayong, but other forums seem to suggest he should be able?

TIA and apologies for the long post.

I just entered Thailand at mae sai yesterday and just noticed that the stamp is of very bad quality and the part when it would say mae sai seems to be missing ink.

Could this be a problem for me in the future?

I'm in chiang rai now and could drive back if I absolutely had to.

Anyone know if the 'admitted until' stamp on the departure card has any significance at all?

Contrary to last time I went through immigration, she didn't put on a date on that.

The one in the passport perfectly fine.

Cheers!
