sometimes I don't know if people are just clueless! or they are trolling, I'm currently on an METV, and you can leave Thailand and return as many times as you want to, that's by land or air, and you can extend each stamp in your passport by 30 days only once, that's over the period of time the visa is valid for, it is valid for six months from the date of issue.
It's not easy anymore, a lot of the rules and regulations have recently changed, Stop giving yourself a headache, just pay an agent!! Go and lie on the beach with a cold chang beer, or spend a few days walking around banks in the blazing sunshine "up to you" 😂🇹ðŸ‡ðŸ˜Ž
I understand it needs to be done exactly how you said, but out of curiosity, do you know why you can't just stamp out and back in again?? I've never understood why you need to physically enter and exit another country before you can return.
I suppose it depends if the immigration officer notices, if they do, it's possible they could reject it, personally I would contact the embassy and make them aware there is an error, hopefully they would just alter it in there system, and send the pdf email out again for you to print, how long before you travel??
it must be a very recent change, I did a tourist visa earlier this year, and it was still required then, you say no financial requirement, does that include the METV?? I don't think there ever was any financial requirement for the SETV.
It's not difficult at all, you can do it yourself, it's more frustrating than anything else doing it at the jomtien immigration, because even if all your paperwork is in order, they just have you there unnecessarily for hours and hours. It's ฿1900 to do it yourself and a few hours sat in the immigration office waiting, or pay an agent, it's usually around ฿4000 and you accompany them to the immigration office, your in and out in 5 mins.
People talk about these "onward ticket" companies, I purchased one once and it looked so fake!! it just looked like something someone had made on a word document, sure it had a booking reference, I've checked it out once with the airline website, and it's just a ticket with your name and no other information, if one day someone decided to check on it at the airport your going have problems, personally I wouldn't buy one again, much safer and not much difference in price to purchase a real ticket. I wouldn't be surprised if it's people that work for these "onward ticket" companies commenting on these posts, because to me it's just pointless.
