Have you had to book and pay for accommodation for the whole duration of stay ?
I've been asked for proof of accommodation payment for 90 days.
Agoda or booking don't take the money first so I'm guessing that won't work.
I don't want to stop in one place for 90 days ether .
What have others done ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The Special Tourist Visa (STV) requires proof of accommodation for the entire duration of stay, which can be challenging to fulfill without paying upfront. Some users suggest booking inexpensive accommodations directly with a hotel or obtaining a letter from a friend in Thailand confirming your stay. It's important to follow the visa application requirements precisely to avoid issues.
If you know someone in Thailand you can ask them a letter with ID picture sayin you will be staying at their home. That's what I did and 24 hours later I was approved.
That Visa is very strict and you have to follow the directions word for word. What I did was book a very cheap room ($5/day) directly with the hotel for the 90 days and then only stayed there part of the time
