Nope. You have to choose "Funds for long stay in Thailand". Then it shows international transfer. By the way, Bangkok bank is one of the few which shows that already. Other banks you many times find a code in the back of y'r bankbook.
Not an answer on opening a bank account but maybe for now solves the 'problem'. So think you went to Vientiane (Thai Embassy) ? At my latest knowledge Savannakhet (Thai Consulate) don't ask financial evidence.
Last year I went to the Netherlands, and had no problems to use the Kbank app. Before there was an app, I used the web page. They call it 'cyberbanking'. Still can/must login there to see my fixed deposit account (needed for my mastercard). You cannot 'connect' it within the app.
Strange. Only read, and maybe more important, hear from 2 people I know, they had no problems. 1 needed a 'stand' placed and was a bit afraid they would not pay because he was a paying customer for less than a year. No problem and even recommended Bangkok hospital.
And maybe tell him that the Canadian Embassy also still hands out an income statement. If that is more than 65k฿, maybe just a tip instead of the 800k in the bank.
That's another option indeed. My problem then was, that if I got out at the nearest stop near my hotel, I had to take a tuktuk or taxi to my hotel. Walking with suitcase and trolly is not very nice in the heat after a 12 hours flight.
