booking. You email them. They send you a link to prepay and then you submit the receipt along with passport ID page photo. This is how they have the certificate ready to go right after you get the shot
In general the first extension you apply for MAY end up being 30 day extension (regardless of if you ask for 60). That extension is from whatever date you apply. The subsequent 60 day extensions (if extended beyond Jan 25th) are added to the current expiry of your existing extension date.
I don't find them rude at all. Been 3 times. If you know what documents you need and bring them it's smooth. If you don't follow the rules yes they will make you come back and get a new que number after getting your documents in order.
0 percent no one at immigration "checks" the validity of your insurance. I would keep the original document of your insurance that matches the thaipass. Even if you have cancelled it....
how does this help workload ? It creates more work not less... additional stamps and paperwork and manual entering of all info twice for each extension
There are TWO issues. One is a Thailand specific issue as noted. The second issue is that due to new USA tax regulations PayPal must verify (by ID etc) any account that made any BUSINESS transaction. Failure to verify is closing accounts worldwide.
The crazy thing is why would immigration create more work for themselves (everyone rushing for extension before jan 25th) if they plan to extend.... yes I'm aware that they keep waiting until last minute to extend the scheme... still hard to make sense of it given that they aren't inclined to work harder than needed lol
