I would venture to guess that if the test and go remains suspended that the flip side is that covid extensions are likely to be extended beyond jan 25th. My question is how long before previous "deadlines" were extensions to the deadline announced ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus is that announcements regarding extensions to COVID-related deadlines in Thailand were typically made at the last minute, usually about 2 to 3 days prior to the expiration of the original deadline. Some commenters noted that extensions were in effect until at least March 22, indicating that updates may come shortly before the deadline.

Covid extensions were still going until 22nd March when I went in last week.

we are referring to the date by which they must be filed (Jan 25th) not the end time of that extension (March 22)
