Very true about Suvarnabhumi. I entered visa exempt 2 days ago and counted 21 people, singles and couples turned away from the IO's, where they went I've no idea.

Just a quickie for those who might not know. I came in visa exempt because my elite visa had expired 2 days previously. Strangely the IO didn't spot the expiry and demanded to see my elite membership card 🤷 Once I got that cleared up all ok but a heads up to elite holders, you need the membership card too which never used to be the case.

Done my last three online with no problems. I think some folks aren't aware the new online system works well.

I'm retired now but used to travel in and out 8 times per year visa exempt with never a question asked. However as Tod always says everybody's experiences can be different and it always depends on your IO on the day. Also consulates will give you differing advice. Glasgow told me absolutely no more than 6 per year which I ignored with no issues. For complete peace of mind get the visa which best suits your circumstances.
