TLDR : Answer Summary
Failing to update your TM30 after re-entering Thailand results in denied services at immigration, including visa extensions, alongside potential fines. Additionally, there are questions regarding the necessity of filing a new TM30 annually even if you remain at the same address.

Sorry to bang on about this but I have another question. I got my updated tm30 done today and I noticed there is an expiry date which matches the last day of my rental lease. I've rented condos before for multiple years and although I signed new rental agreements I just kept the same tm30 and my 90 day reports were straightforward with no questions asked. Is this something else we need to be aware of and file a new tm30 every year even if you're staying at the same address?

You dont get a visa extension until you do

You don't get the service you're requesting until you get the TM30 sorted, and a fine.
so is it only the last tm30 before my visit to immigration that really matters?
No need to keep track of tm30s if I'm traveling all over Thailand and then rent a condo, all immigration will ask for is the TM30 associated with my latest residence, yeah?
