What happens now at Jomtien immigration if you haven't updated your tm30 after leaving and re-entering the country?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Failing to update your TM30 after re-entering Thailand results in denied services at immigration, including visa extensions, alongside potential fines. Additionally, there are questions regarding the necessity of filing a new TM30 annually even if you remain at the same address.

Sorry to bang on about this but I have another question. I got my updated tm30 done today and I noticed there is an expiry date which matches the last day of my rental lease. I've rented condos before for multiple years and although I signed new rental agreements I just kept the same tm30 and my 90 day reports were straightforward with no questions asked. Is this something else we need to be aware of and file a new tm30 every year even if you're staying at the same address?

You don't get the service you're requesting until you get the TM30 sorted, and a fine.

and if you update the tm30 before you need to go to immigration for anything, but way later than 24hrs in the country is there still a fine?

doubtful. They don't really have any way of knowing where you were or what you were doing before then.

so is it only the last tm30 before my visit to immigration that really matters?

No need to keep track of tm30s if I'm traveling all over Thailand and then rent a condo, all immigration will ask for is the TM30 associated with my latest residence, yeah?

Thanks

every time a TM30 is filed it's the only TM30 that matters because that's where you are now
