The digital statement should be OK, since you have to upload it online. However, if you can get a physical statement, do so, since many Pakistanis have been called in for interviews. In summary, get both.

OP in one reply here said "working with a recruitment company in Thailand and would like to stay here". That's EXACTLY why they rejected him! You can not be working for a "company in Thailand". Again, I quoted him exactly.

What is the process for exiting Thailand with both a new and an old passport after a DTV visa renewal?

If the new passport is an e-passport, which it probably is, you use that to depart using the e-gates. Basically you just carry the old passport for reference but in practice only the new passport will be stamped on entry and used for exit.
