Hi I’m arriving this Wednesday with my newly acquired METV . Can I ask if my passport will be stamped in the same format as my previous ones ( which were the tourist exempt stamps ) or will my stamp be different ?
I’m only asking in order that when I pass through immigration I can check I have been given the correct stamp and duration of 60 days as I understand if I don’t check before leaving the immigration desk I can’t change it later if it’s incorrect.
Please guys no acidic or rude comments about this subject as this is a concern for an overthinker like me . Thanks in advance 👍
Hi TVA, got my retirement visa and multiple re-entry permit (slightly erased version below). About to make a trip and was wondering if there is anything I need to make sure immigration does (or does not do) when exiting or entering back to Thailand wrt stamps etc?
Friendly reminder, check your stamp when entering Thailand. I completed my first visa run and they only gave me 60 days. I went to immigration the next morning and was told it would take 2-3 days to fix. They sent me to immigration at the airport for faster service. So, I did that and it was resolved in 20 minutes. So save the trouble, and look at the stamp before walking away from the immigration officer when entering Thailand.
Full disclosure, I didn't present my printed visa to the officer because I know he can see the visa on the computer when he scans my passport. He just didn't notice it on the computer. Lesson learned for me.
Has anyone tried entering Thailand by land using the DTV visa? Is this method feasible? I'm about to reach six consecutive months of stay in Thailand and plan to do a visa run. I'm on the Digital Nomad Visa (DTV), and my first entry at Suvarnabhumi Airport six months ago went very smoothly.
My yearly extension of stay for non-O marriage ends Sept 4th.
I’ll leave Thailand next week and come back end of August 20th, by plane.
Then I’ll leave Thailand again Sept. 16th to my home country (Germany) and come back in November.
What will happen August 20th when I enter Thailand (by plane)
1. with a Reentry Permit: Can I stay until September 19th (after expiry Sept 4th of my extension of stay)?
2. without a Reentry Permit: Will a get a normal 60 day visa-exemption stay ? (I understand that the extension of stay becomes invalid)
Thanks in advance.
Background:
My travel schedule makes it difficult to do the extension as usual b/c my travel collides with the timelines for application and ‘under consideration’ period.
So my idea is to get a new Non-Imm o visa (marriage) multi-entry yearly in my home country before returning in Nov.
The visa itself shouldn’t be a problem. I clearly fulfill all the requirements and did it a few times before .
Just got my Canadian passport renewed from Canada consulate in BKK and delivered to me in Chiang Rai. I have the previous, now cancelled passport. Do I need to go to immigration and get the new passport updated with current stamp?
I arrived via Samui immigration at airport today. I see on my stamp she wrote “non -re”. The date looks correct, is the non-re correct since I have a multi entry stamp that is valid until January?
Hey I'm running out of room in my passport. I just got a 90 day stamp. Anyone know what the time is to get a new passport from the US embassy?? I heard the new process is just to ship it to them and they ship it back.
