would be good to have proper clarification on this as doing it earlier than necessary would mean the next 90 days arrives sooner but doing it late costs 2000 baht.
i was at chaeng wattana for an extension recently and the officer told me my (overdue) 90 day reporting can be done in september. tod daniels suggested she was probably just mistaken and i need to do it in august, so it's possible even the officers are becoming confused by all the recent changes.
i was in and out in 20 minutes for an extension this afternoon (even finding a parking space was easier than ever). they told me i don't need to do my 90 day reporting (which was due last week) until september, but it has to be done at muang thong thani.
I hope so. I was supposed to do it yesterday but decided not to go as Richard Barrow said we don't need to and I was worried Chaeng Wattana would be full of confused tourists asking about amnesty extensions. I will go to do it in a couple of weeks and if any issue blame it on Richard Barrow.
fine would only be around 500, but if you plan to do this, make sure you have your dash cam running always, because accidents are common here and the locals rarely admit fault. if it comes down to your word against their word, you are less likely to be believed if driving without a license.
There is still no real quarantine system in the UK, so she will just have to fill out a from promising to self isolate for 14 days, unless she needs to go out, and not to use public transport, unless she doesn't have a car.
Coming back to Thailand anytime in the next year or so wont be so easy.
I would be surprised if you get much of an extension (if any) for that unless you have a letter from a reputable doctor or hospital to prove you cannot fly. A couple of times I've seen Thai wives applying for an extension for their foreign husbands who were bed ridden and seriously ill and immigration still required a lot of evidence and documentation for a short extension.
the only way to get a meaningful answer to your question is to ask the airline. but don't worry too much if they don't let you bring it, there are plenty of dogs here.
huh? this is an announcement from the american embassy, not thai immigration, and basically just states the obvious that they aren't going to lie on paper for the sake of any american tourists who want to pretend they are stranded in thailand.
