Can I open a Thai bank account with a DTV visa, or how can I use digital payments without one?

I have no patience to go running around trying banks. I phoned tik tok services today, they picked me up, took me to the bank, sorted out all the forms. I left the bank an hour later with bank card, bank app etc. Cost 5000 baht.

Why does the Thai embassy request tax returns for the DTV visa application?

Embassy has the right to ask for whatever documents they deem necessary for a particular application. Sure there is a standard list they require but can also require more.

Just supply what they ask for and don't convolute matters. If they want additional information they will ask for it.

Do I need to be physically present to apply for an eVisa and how does the 180-day stay work?

Glenn **********

Someone else can definitely not apply for you. You have to apply yourself.

You get 180 days on each entry, each departure nullifies the previous stamp. You can extend another 180 days in Thailand at an immigration office.

If you leave and come back you get stamped in again for 180 days. Days do not accumulate.

Visa starts when it is issued.

You should choose workcation/remote worker and supply the items/documents that they require for that visa application. There are many people who own their own business who have applied and received the DTV.
