Arrived 11 Nov (thanks for all the advice getting me here) on 30 day visa exempt and staying in Sala Daeng hotel. I want to obtain my one-off 30 day extension tomorrow (as there are 2 holidays next week) so having searched your group, I just want to confirm:

I will get the full 30 days on top of my current 30 days (not from tomorrow) and will need to visit Muang Thong Thani office with the following?:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. [MAYBE] A TM30, filed in the immigration office (screenshot from hotel)

3. The extension of stay application form TM 7 (can I fill this in beforehand or only at the office)

4. 1x passport pictures

5. 1,900 THB.

After that I can potentially apply for a C19 extension anytime within 30 days of my new visa exempt entitlement date, but if granted the 60 days would apply from that submission date?

Thx as always for your help (if only you guys ran the United Nations 🤩)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks confirmation on the process to obtain a one-off 30-day extension after arriving in Thailand on a visa-exempt entry. They plan to visit the Muang Thong Thani office with necessary documents including passport copies, a TM30 form, the TM7 application form, passport pictures, and a fee of 1,900 THB. The user also inquires about applying for a C19 extension, understanding its conditions and timing relative to their new visa entitlement date.

you have to do the regular 30-day tourist visa extension first.

I was hoping to apply that after the 30d

I'd also add that it would look more genuine if you applied for the covid extension closer to the end of the availability date.

You can apply for a 30days tourism extension for your visa-exempt entry anytime now with those documents and it will be added (on-top) to your current stamp, so you wouldn't lose any day if you apply earlier.

On the other hand, extensions based on being unable to travel due to Covid situation are not tourism-based extensions, it would start on the day of application, not added, at most the immigration offices. And also totally optional extension - not automatic and they are totally at the discretion of the Immigration Officer.

The covid extension program is currently planned until 25 Jan 2022. While you surely have a chance to apply for it, please be aware you may or may not be able to get it.
