Hi Todd, yes I created a new account and moved 805,000 baht into it and have kept the other account open. I use the same bank for both accounts. Everything was seasoned and past the 3 months requirement after the extension when I created the new account. The window for the new seasoning period will not start until December

months before and after. What should the bank letter state for the 1st bank account that was used previously for the retirement funds? Just verify the balance at the time of the transfer. My total funds have never dropped below 700,000 so I am well above the 400K threshold.

whatever, they both get you a retirement Visa and are different amounts.

I always wondered why 65k a month is only 780 k annually but you need 800k in the bank.

I would think they have a lot of discretion and the immigration officer that gave me back the passport when I went to pick up back up simply overlooked the paper work. Think I will go back on the Friday before.

I did not get this paper work but was told to come back in 90 days, which is one day before my 90 day report is due.

I recently did this in Pattaya. I got my bank letter the same day I went to immigration. I had to come back with some other items they said I needed and asked them about the bank note validity and they said it was good for 2 more days. I came back the same day so I can't verify if the agent was using her own discretion or if it is standard policy in Jomtien.
