If you have a non b visa and a work permit, is your visa good for the entire year if your job ends before the 12 month period? What I’m getting at is my job ends next month but the work permit and visa are good for another 4 months. I plan to change the Visa extension to a marriage requirements instead work during this time. I am married.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A non-B visa is typically tied to your employment, which means if your job ends, it may affect your visa and work permit status. While your work permit is valid until its expiration date or until you stop working, you must cancel it upon termination of employment. However, you can apply for a new extension of stay based on marriage to your Thai spouse, which is a separate process from the work permit. It's crucial to gather all necessary documents and visit the immigration office to ensure a smooth transition to your marriage-based extension.
