None of this matters to me. My only point was if they "require" an ETA on 1 May, the system will be up 72 hours before, OR they won't require an ETA until 4 May. Hopefully it works as well as Singapore and Malaysia and better than the Philippines. I exit and enter Thailand 5-8 times a year. I'm looking forward to it shortening the occasional long lines at Thai Immigration.

why is 60 plus 30 and trying to repeat that "abusing the system " but paying a bounce agency to bribe an IO ok? I realize one accomplishes the goal but both are abuse.
Depends where you are. printing and filling out the form takes about 3 minutes. My last 90 day report took 30 seconds. Most time consuming part was finding a blue pen.
I haven't read of any exceptions to the 45 day visa exemption. If you're a passport holder eligible for the new 45 days, it doesn't matter where or how you enter.
Just to clarify Tod's excellent advice above, re your #2 -- you're allowed two visa exempt entries by land in each calendar year. You could go on Oct 1 and again in Dec, then again in Feb 2023 and April 2023. Each entry can be extended once. But you better be sure you meet all the other requirements for entry to Thailand.
When I went thru a similar process 8 and 10 months ago at CM Immigration, they had one additional requirement. They wanted a copy of every page in my bank book. I had only made a copy of the last page. I had to go out and make copies of every page going back to 2015. Fortunately, CM does not require proof that the funds were from abroad or I might not have qualified. I topped up my 800k with cash, withdrawn at ATM's from my US account.
The only other requirement is that every page you submit must be signed in blue ink.
