Probably just a over zealous immigration officer , I did 4 Visa exempt entries in 4 months last year , no problems at all .

James Miller , why would the OP need to pose his question on TV when he has already been given the definitive answer .

As Peter says they may have run out of SETV stickers . To get a METV in the UK , you need to show proof of £5000 in your account for 6 months.

Thinking outside the box and assuming you fly via Amsterdam , maybe a 3 day layover there is a option for you .

There is a Single and a Multiple . The Multiple you can only get in your home country , there is no such thing as a Double .

, you need to be 50 or older for retirement .

Without knowing your departure date it is slightly difficult to work out a plan of action for you .

However this is what I would do .

Get a SETV ,this is good for 60 days , you then need to go to your local immigration office for a 30 day extension .

Before this expires you will need to leave Thailand again and get another SETV , you will probably need to get another extension after that as well .

If you need more time you will need to come back here for more advice .

Why not get a SETV from your home country before your visit . Probably a little less expensive plus you won't have to waste ' holiday ' time hanging around the immigration office .
