Just my 2 pennyworth.

I filed a new report and then printed the report details.

I wanted to make sure that I knew how to do the report and how to print the submission, rather than wait until I needed to do it for real and then realize that I didn't know how to.

Forgive my ignorance but does this mean that every hotel in Thailand that reports guests checking in needs to re-register on the 15th?

Further note, apart from the "new passport " form available at the helpers desk to the left of the main entrance, immigration required copies of:

All non blank pages in old passport.

Photo ID page of new passport.

No charge for this "Move Stamp" service.

Certainly in Chiang Mai immigration have their own letter to request the stamps be transferred to the new passport, the previously issued letter is no longer required.

Your 90 day report is independent of your visa extension. It gets reset when you reenter the country, not when you extend your visa.

Krungthai in hang dong can certainly do a 12 month printout whilst you wait.
