Hi, I'm upgrading my 90 day non o visa to the 11 month marriage one. Immigration officer is coming to my house in an hour, what happens if I can't find a witness in time (had multiple people bail on me ๐Ÿ˜…)

Update: mother-in-law's friend made it in time. Immigration officer was really chill.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is in the process of upgrading from a 90-day NON-O visa to an 11-month marriage visa and is concerned about finding a witness for the immigration officer's home visit. They initially struggled to find one but reported that their mother-in-law's friend was available in time. Other community members provided suggestions, including enlisting neighbors or even ordering delivery as a potential witness.

its middle of the day, neighbors seem to be at work.

I just went out for a walk and didn't see a single person, but I think my mother in law found someone in time ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Don't mean to be harsh with this answer ๐Ÿ˜• ,

BUT

I guess you'll find out in an hour ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

I mean not much you can do, talk to them once they show up, believe me if it's a BIG problem they'll let you know

we used our mooban security guard for the first home visit when we moved to HH during Covid in 2021. As long as he agrees and has his Thai ID card on him, it should work.

Just wait it out and see what the officer says, you can't be the first foreigner in the history of 'home visits' that has had this happen.
