Do I need to complete my 90-day report after recently extending my NON-O visa with a new passport?

Question about 90-day reporting online:

I have just received an email informing me that I need to do my next 90-day report online by 28 August (old passport number), however I only recently extended my non-o for marriage to Thai spouse on 1 August (using my new passport).

Is this an outdated reminder or should I do the 90-day report as requested in the email?

Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user received an email reminder for a 90-day report linked to their old passport number, despite recently extending their NON-O visa using a new passport. Commenters clarified that a new yearly extension does not reset the 90-day reporting requirement. To determine if they should file a report, they should check if they received a new 90-day report receipt upon extension. If not, they must follow the email instructions and report as required.

Your 90 day report is independent of your visa extension. It gets reset when you reenter the country, not when you extend your visa.

okay the email notification comes out automatically

As a rule getting a new yearly extension DOES NOT reset your 90 day reporting }

The way to tell IF they reset your 90 day reporting after you got a year extension is to ask yourself:

When you got the year extension did they give you a NEW 90 day report receipt with a new date to report on it?

If that answer is yes and you GOT a new 90 day report receipt from the immigration office when you got your extension you follow that paper ๐Ÿ™‚

If the answer is no, and you did NOT get a new 90 day report receipt from the immigration office when you got your extension you follow your current report paper (and the email) and file a 90 day report

IF you did not get a new 90 day report receipt when you got your extension on your new passport you DO have a 90 day report due and you should be able to use the new passport number because you got your most recent extension on it
