I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but I've been hearing different things from different people...

I have the DTV. I am about to exit for the first time, spend two weeks in another country, and then come back in.

I don't think I need to pay for a multiple-entry permit, correct? Because the DTV already is a multiple-entry visa... Am I mistaken?

The stamp in my passport does not say multiple entry, but just says "DTV" on the stamp.

When I exit the country, will they give me an exit stamp and give me a new entry one?

And do I need to bring anything with me besides my passport?

Thanks in advance!

I am looking into staying í Thailand for a few months and looking at which Visa will be best for us (me and my 14 yo). A 60 day multiple tourist Visa would be fine since we also plan to visist Cambodia and Malaysia. I know there is also a 90 day Visa but a lot more paperwork to gather.

So here are my questions for the 60 day Visa:

1. Do I understand it right that for the multientry Visa I need to book and pay for 2 tickets into Thailand and 2 tickets out of Thailand before I apply to the embassy?

2. Also it says we MAY be permitted to stay for 60 days, is that not guaranteed?

3. When is the last time I can enter if the Visa is issued on, lets say 15. August 2025 and first entry is 1. september 2025. Each stay in Thailand will be 60 days and 2-3 weeks in Cambodia and Malaysia.

Is there maybe an easier/cheaper way to do this?

TIA for your comments

Hello everyone, I need advice, according to the visa-free rules I can enter twice a calendar year, I entered Thailand on January 13, 2025, left on January 22 and entered again on January 26, on January 28 2025 I flew home, on April 11 I want to fly again, and so I'm wondering if I can still use the visa-free regime or do I need to open a multiple-entry visa? I would be grateful for your help 🙏

Hi

I'm after some advice regarding temporarily leaving Thailand. I have a NON-O retirement visa with a multiple-entry stamp.

One stamp states "Please contact immigration for a RE-ENTRY permit before leaving Thailand", and another states "To keep your stay permit, re-entry permit must be made before leaving Thailand"

Do I need to do this as I have a mulitple-entry stamp. If so, how do I get re-entry permit anf how long does it take

* Im a bit confused with this type of visa :

One-year non-immigrant visa Thailand multiple-entry: This visa allows you to enter and exit Thailand multiple times. If you opt for this route, you can upgrade it to a business visa once your work permit application has been successfully processed.

Can you extend this visa annually and keep the business without a workpermit? Or do you get it only one year to start the business?

The DTV holder has the right to stay in Thailand for 180 days, which can be extended for an additional 180 days, for a total of 5 years. However, when a frequent traveler or digital nomad has used their 180 days, if they travel abroad and return, will they continue to use the remaining days from the initial 180 days, or will a new 180-day period begin? Additionally, since this visa is a multiple-entry visa, can the visa holder enter and exit Thailand as many times as they wish?

Can a couple go to Thailand on a multiple-entry visa, then apply for a retirement visa before it expires? Would that be doable? Also, how long does one have to stay in another country before re-entering Thailand on the multiple-entry visa?

Has anyone semi-recently received a multiple-entry visa out of the embassy in Washington D.C.? I'm wondering how long it took.
