TLDR : Answer Summary
The community consensus is that a Thai wife's bank account cannot be solely used for extending a marriage visa, as several comments explicitly state 'no.' One comment indicates that if a joint account is used, only 50% of the balance may be applicable. However, it is generally recommended that the funds should be in the applicant's name for the visa extension process.

Can show and use a joint account with your wife however only 50% of the balance can be used towards you marriage visa
It's not that easy, and most of all it is not self understood with every Immigration office. One needs to ask his Immigration first, if they accept a joint account with double a deposit in it. Some Immigrations won't allow
I only posted because I was told about joint account being

and was allowed as there was around 950k at that time in joint account this was at Jomtien as I said all immigration offices for some reading make there own rules !
