Currently there are no requirements that you even go to any classes. In the future there might be, but if you have the DTV now you are grandfathered into any changes in the future, meaning that any future changes don't affect you for the initial five years of your visa.

The most common reason for rejection is not having the bt500,000 equivalent in their personal bank account long enough.

with no deposit in July, even though there were two in June, the 12 month count will restart in August, then next month you made the bt65,000+ deposit, and count 12 months from then. You'll need the lump sum for your next extension.

You've got no problems. In most cases the immigration agent will file your 90 day report at the same time your extension is extended. You've got 7 days grace period after the 90 days expires. That's what they do with me in Bangkok.

Nothing about the DTV has anything to do with a Thai relative, or family member.

This is very strange as you can only get a metv in your passport country, not in the countries surrounding Thailand, unless you have permanent residency in writing in that country.

the requirement for your one year extension is the bt400,000 has to be in your account for two months before you apply, and as soon as you get your one year extension stamped in your passport, you can do anything you want with the money. There is no requirement that it stays in your account after you get your stamp.

you are some what misinformed. The initial non O visa is 90 days, but you are forgetting the one year extension of that visa, which requires a 90 day report, or pay the bt2000 fine for not reporting.

you're moving here so think long term. In the first few days you get here get a Bangkok Bank account, and the ATM card with the Mastercard logo. They have different cards, and only one can you use online. Also get a Kasikorn Bank account. You'll find after being here just a short time it's much better to have different accounts at different banks, as much of Thailand is moving to cashless payments very fast. I personally have four different accounts at two banks. It helps to keep everything straight when visa extension, and tax time, comes around, and just for convenience. Do a SWIFT bank to bank transfer bringing in your bt800,000, as then you have a FET that makes it very easy if you ever want to take the money out of Thailand as a lump sum in the future. Others will say use the Wise transfer method, but it has a pretty low amount that can be transferred in each transaction. Think about your driver's licenses after you get here. There are two different ones, one for car, and a separate one for motorcycle. If you have a motorcycle endorsement on your valid car license you can get both licenses without taking the written, or driving tests. After three months here you'll need Thai licenses. Also get an IDP before you come here to make it the easiest getting your Thai licenses.

In the last couple of weeks the cybercrime, and e-commerce fraud department, I forgot the exact name, they shut down over 150,000 proxy bank accounts, used in scams with bank to bank transfers method of payment. It is real difficult to get a Thai bank account on any tourist entry.
