Why did I receive a 20-day stamp instead of the usual 30 days for my Thai wife visa extension?

Well that was interesting today, this morning. Went with my wife to get my yearly extension based on Thai wife. It was very fast today, but what was interesting is that the normal 30 day under consideration stamp was only stamped to return in 20 days instead of 30.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user shared their experience of receiving a 20-day stamp instead of the usual 30-day consideration stamp during their yearly visa extension process based on their marriage to a Thai citizen. Other commenters noted that this change has been consistent for several months, attributing it to a new law.

Don’t recall seeing anything about a “new law”. What office was this? Perhaps like many things here it’s office dependent.

. Changwattana. You not seeing doesn't mean it hasn't happened, farangs are always the last to know about changes to immigration laws as we all know. I'm just repeating what they told me and I actually posted it in here the next day.
