Got all 3 Evisas approved yesterday. Non B, O and Ed. Took 9 business days through the Sydney Thai Consulate. Smooth process with the only additional documents requested being an invite letter from myself to my wife as a dependent. Can’t wait to get to BKK in 3 weeks.

Hi all, partner is here on a Guardian visa (Non O) for 11yo daughter who is on an Ed visa.

Has set up a bank account. How much needs to be deposited so that they can go and get a one year extension before the 90 days is finished?

Have seen 500k and 800k mentioned in different places.

I work offshore, more or less 6 months per year, all over the world but recently mainly West Africa and Europe.

I work through a UK based agency that specialises in people in my profession.

Up to now I've had a Non O based on marriage a couple of times, but haven't kept it up as renewal dates fell when I was offshore, and generally I get by on visa exemption (on arrival) plus extensions when necessary.

Does anyone know if I'd be able to apply successfully for DTV, or has anyone in a similar position to me tried?

I am a Kiwi living here on an O-A visa coming up to its 12th month. I will be doing a border run just before it expires and receiving a second year on my return back into Thailand. My first years health insurance will expire as well so I am discussing with myself weather to purchase another 12 months worth OR flag it and apply for an O visa instead. The cost of insurance has skyrocketed ..and they can't be trusted anyway at claim time so bugger them. Another option could be the auto 60 day on arrival and extend by a month..rinse and repeat or marry my Thai sweetheart. Righto ..throw me your thoughts!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I have a question for anyone who has used a visa agency to get them both the bank account and the visa. I am probably going this route but I would like to know if anyone has had any real difficulties doing it this way? Apart from having to use the same agency for future extensions, is there anything else to be aware of? The agency is in Bangkok and they seem great, but I live in a different province (not too faraway) and I'm just wondering if I'll run into other difficulties. I have had so many obstacles put in front of me to open a bank account and then get the extension on a Non O visa that I am feeling (probably) overly cautious. Pros and cons? Thanks. Hi everyone, even though I have Non O visa, a letter from the owner of the place I’m staying and everything else you can think of, I’m having a hard time opening a bank account in Nakhon Pathom. If need be, can I open an account in Bangkok with a Nakhon Pathom address? Thanks

Good morning, I am currently on a 30 day visa exempt as I arrived in Thailand before the new rules started. Unfortunately due to circumstances my new school couldn’t Transfer my visa. Therefore I will be applying for a new non b. However I am married to a Thai citizen and mother to a Thai girl. I am just trying to figure out my best options:

1) Apply for a new non b at Vientiane?

2) Am I able to apply for Non O based on marriage or being a mother to a half Thai child in Thailand? Or will I need to apply at an embassy consulate outside Thailand as this will be my first time applying for this visa as I have been previously on a Non B?

3) Will I be able to get a work permit if I am on a Non O visa?
