Has anyone applied for a DTV Visa as a freelancer with "Phone App Development" as their primary freelance activity?

I'm planning to launch my app soon and have high hopes for its success. However, it won't be generating income by the time I apply for the DTV Visa.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

My DTV has been approved! I applied in Jakarta as a tourist in person. 3 days processing time. The applicant needs to stay in Jakarta during the processing period. I submitted the following:

Visa application form.

2 photos.

Copy of my passport biometric page.

Bank statement (3 months) highlighted the source of income that were from the projects/clients.

Certificate of Employment (mentioned "'Remote Worker")

Portfolio of projects.

Fee of 5.6million IDR (about 12,712THB)

Only 1 question asked: "Why don't you apply in your home country?"

My reply: "The embassy in my country is not open to DTV yet."

Hi Guys. I have a new British passport and need to transfer visa, etc over from the old passport. I’m wondering if anybody has done that recently? Thai Immigration list their needs, including (1) Copy of former passport with your photo (2) Copy of new passport with your photo. I would take that to mean photocopy of the picture page of each passport. So far so good and all affirmed by Richard Barrow’s 2019 article. But then Richard Barrow mentions photocopy also needed of every stamped page of the old passport. Nothing in the Thai Immigration form suggests that, so I am wondering if that has been abandoned or quite what? Also at Land Transport any surprises when you came to change your Thai driver’s licence for a new one endorsed with the new passport number?

Hello all. I would like to ask you about a work visa (I think it is the non-immigrant B visa to be coupled with a work permit).

Do I have to apply for it in the country I currently live in and get it before leaving to Thailand?

Another question is: do you know what kind of documentation is required from me and from the company I will work for?

I did some research, but I would like to have some advice from people that went through the process, in order to get accurate indication during these times.

Thanks.

Transferring from a “tourist visa” which has already been extended for 30 days to non o based on marriage at Samut Prakan immigration.

I arrived early 7:45 waiting for the office to open at 8:30. I was second in the que.

my wife and I then spent an hour with the immigration officer at the desk going through all the relevant paper work.

In addition to the normal paper work they asked my wife for her name change document.

Luckily we had a scanned document on the phone with us and they printed it off for us.

My bank book was updated yesterday but that was not good enough as they wanted it updated on the day of document submittal. A quick motorbike taxi to the nearest bank sorted that out. We went straight back to the immigration officer so didn’t need to go to the back of the line.

The letter from the bank which was made yesterday was sufficient.

Another spanner in the works is we don’t have out children in the tabian ban (that’s another story) wife had to write a letter about that.

I have paid my 2000 and been told to come back in a month for the result.

I didn’t get a stamp in my passport rather a receipt with June 24 stamped on and stapled in my passport.

All in all not a bad experience, as long as you’re patient and smile a lot then everything should go smoothly.
