I bring CASH. Wait for a good exchange rate and have s good exchange agent and get the best return on my dollars.. Can make a BIG difference. I would rather get the cash in my pocket , and leave the transfer costs behind.. just my style..

I book my ticket including the Chiang Mai leg as one ticket. Then the carrier doesn't charge , it is included ..

If I do need to stop over in BKK , I go to the post office , departures level at the airport. Buy boxes , pack , mail , on my way.

Same for shopping in BKK , I mail it. Sometimes to my neighbors house.

.. letter of employment and granted holiday time. From registered Thai company.

.. $$$$$$ in bank.

.. proof of house , land ownership

.. house or apartment lease paid in advance

So many things that make it appear it would be better for her to return , not stay

 what is the cost of a Laos one day Visa ? And s boat ride ?

Mae Sai , $10 U.S. in and out .. and they broke a $50 for me.

Tachilek, no masks and always polite.

Golden triangle , I've been hussled on the boat ride , and really didn't enjoy the whole experience .

There is also a single priced shipping box , about 12 X 12 X 12 inch , a set price on that at some post offices , not all
