Hello sages of everything Thai. What service would you choose to cheaply ship non valuable items(preworn clothing) from Thailand to Canada? There is no worry on the time frame. Thanks for your help. Cheers.

TLDR : Answer Summary
When looking to ship preworn clothing from Thailand to Canada at a low cost, various options were discussed. The Thai Post Office's EMS service was mentioned as a commonly used method for faster shipping, although it's considered expensive. A more economical option noted was SAL (Sea Air Land), which is slower but offers better value. Some commenters suggested using regular shipping methods for less urgent needs. The easiest process involves bringing items to the post office where they can assist with packaging and addressing. Overall, it was concluded that addressing such logistics can be straightforward and there are affordable solutions for expatriates.

Do you know those giant striped bags that zip up that you see thais carrying shit in when they travel? Well 8 of those bags, weighing between 40 and 50 pounds each, were shipped to Mae Sot and picked over by family and the rest donated already. The ones I want to bring back are the more special ones that she can't part with. Just because I said pre worn doesn't mean it's cheap shit. I just didn't want to sound like I was sending clothing for resale. Some of it was tailored by a friend who is a true pro. I think we have it all figured out now anyways. Thanks for all the suggestions people. Truly appreciated.

SAL. Or Sea Air Land. At the post office.. slow but best value.

There is also a single priced shipping box , about 12 X 12 X 12 inch , a set price on that at some post offices , not all

EMS is expensive

Easiest way is as stated already.

All you need to do is show up with your items. They will box it up, seal the box, address the box and ship it out.

Can’t get much easier than that.

When I do it I preprint that address labels at home. But it’s not necessary.

That has already been pondered by myself. This is a cost/ benefit analysis at this point. But thanks.

Go to your nearest Thai post office and ship it EMS. That's the cheapest option and it can take 1-2 months sometimes.
