Visa cancelled email ?

Received this email today. No explanation .

"" Your visa application has been cancelled.

*Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do NOT reply to this email. ""

Looks to be legit email address.

Did first 90 day report in person 1 week ago and on time.

1 year NON O family visa.

Anyone have experience with this ?

I'm confused ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry revolves around the sudden receipt of an email stating that a visa application had been cancelled, despite the individual already holding a NON-O family visa and having completed a 90-day report. The community discusses possible explanations, emphasizing that the email may pertain to a different old application or a glitch rather than the current valid visa status. Suggestions include visiting the immigration office for clarity and checking the email's legitimacy. Some users noted similar recent experiences, pointing to a possible system error.

The message refers to an eVisa. Since you aren't applying for an EVisa, I wouldn't worry about it.

Strange I just received the exact same message? It's not a scam and it came from the actual Visa address, I'm sure it's a glitch in their system. I received my visa months ago.

Was the 90 day reporting approved? Could this be your 90 day submission was rejected? Have you updated your Form 30 since they switched over to the new system?

It states your 'visa application' has been cancelled. Not your visa. You likely have an old application in the system

Did you at some point start an e-visa and not complete the application?

As you say it says application canceled.

Is the email from an embassy, more than likely.

If you have a Visa and extension already granted, that's doesn't really make much sense..

If immigration had for some reason canceled your extension, they would not email you.

It would be a knock on the door.

it can not be because of an incomplete application because you can not submit it before it is completed and paid so no way the embassy would know about this

, yes, it can be incomplete. And if so, it will be cancelled after 2 weeks.

That's probably what happened.

This is confusing

You've applied for a visa yet you're already on some kind of non o 1 year visa ( that doesn't exist, extension maybe) and you've done a 90 day report. ??

Doesn't make sense.

exactly.. have visa , 90 report , all good for 10 more months.

Maybe old computer system 90 day report got confused. ?? It was a no reply system email. Confirmed gov't email address.

I haven't applied for any evisa or anything in years. Confused and awaiting another reply of similar experience.

Thank you.

okay was this the online 90 day report was not accepted/rejected???

If so it has nothing to do with your extension.

okay as per my original post to you.

This is an evisa application that you must have started and now has been canceled.

It has nothing to do with your current extension, you are fine.

ok. Starting to understand your position now.

You are on a 1 year extension of stay based on visiting family ( wife or half Thai child).

As
@Chris ******
mentioned, if immigration decide to cancel your extension, it won't be via an e-mail.

Maybe post a redacted image of the email and email address.

Also, on some email providers, there's a small drop down arrow > that will show the full email address

no, Non-O with a retirement extension is good for 1 year. But you still have to do a 90 report.

the Non O retirerende visa has a residence permit of 3 months. this residence permit can be extended by one year at a time. The visa has been used and cannot be renewed.

you just said “Non o based on retirerement is 3 month only.” What do you mean by that? It doesn’t make any sense.

the extension is not of the visa. The extension is of the residence permit that the visa provides.

you’re mixing up terms. The retirement extension can be renewed one year at a time. The 90 day report has nothing to do with the extension. It’s just a report of your whereabouts.

I'm talking about the Non O retirement visa, which gives a 3-month residence permit. A used visa cannot be extended. A visa is an entry permit. But the residence permit granted by the visa can be extended. 😊

again, you’re mixing up terms. There is no such thing as a “retirement visa”. There is the Non-O with a retirement extension.

You don’t get “residence” with any visa. Residence is a whole other thing.

Otherwise you are correct.
