Long answer, by immigration department rules the landlord needs to file the Tm30 , will he get in trouble if he doesn’t no, you will, can you file the form, yes, should you depends on the local immigration office, do they care no, should you care not really, can you be penalized certainly, will you be , this is Thailand things can be very flexible till they are not, do you have any rights to complain no, should you not really, their country their rules

they are correct a tourist visa is more involved versus a finance visa , both take time accuracy and effort ... whether or not they can do it is hard to prove unless they have recommendations ... from people who have been through the process , I have done both ...
