Just prepare yourself a little bit before entering Thailand again, for example, buy a bus ticket out of Thailand, have some money to show if they ask for proof, and book a hotel for the night or so. And I think you will be just fine. Worse what can be they will tell you not to try to enter without a proper visa next time
