Hey guys!

I'm a US citizen looking to get my DTV in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. I wanted help with the best practices/EXACT paperwork and docs needed so i get the least amount of additional requests or needless holdups:

I am a remote worker with an LLC although i'm fine doing soft power (muay thai or language) if that is a similar alternative. Which would be better?

Any advice and guidance would be super appreciated 🙏

Greetings from Pattaya! I am here for a new gig. Can I (US Citizen) transfer my current "Visa Exemption" status directly to a Non-Immigrant B Visa once I get all of the required documents and authentications ???

About a month ago I posted a question asking if anyone had gotten a 60 day ME tourist visa, immediately after one expired. I said I would update, so here it is. US citizen, my last 60 ME TR visa expired July 15th. I left Thailand August 29th. I applied for a new 60 day ME TR a week later. Today I reviewed email asking for my onward ticket, bank statements, and another accomodations verification. I replied to the email link they sent, an hour later I was approved for new 60 day ME TR visa. So you CAN get them back to back.

Report: Non O dependent visa for US Wife aquired in Penang a couple weeks ago.

This was our experience...

I'm US citizen on a retirement extension.

She's under 50, also a US citizen on a 30 day tourist, with a 30 extension.

We flew to Penang and booked a room for a week just in case there were issues.

Monday morning we showed up at the consolate 30 - 40 min early and there was already a huge line OUTSIDE and it was going to rain.

A lady saw us in line and said we should be in the shorter foreigner line. So we moved to the proper line where there were more western looking people. The other line was Chinese I was told.

There are no signs or order to the Queues sadly. THERE ARE NO AREAS TO MAKE COPIES OR TAKE PHOTOS NEARBY, so be prepared.

They finally let everyone in, Chinese first and the small visa room fills up quickly. We had our form filled out ahead of time and they didn't look at it (yet), instead handed us a Check list sheet which is NOT on the website. They tell us to fill it out.

We fight our way through the crowd to a table area and fill out the check list form. There are no Queue numbers, it's first come first serve.

We go back to the line where we were, and hand her all of our docs and she looks them over and tells us to wait.

We wait for an hour or so. They call my wife and tell her she is missing a copy of my passport visa stamp page. It was in the packet we gave her but now it was lost. Luckily I make 3 copies of everything, so I pulled it out and gave her a backup copy.

We wait another hour or so and they call us up and tell us to come back tomorrow at 2pm - 4pm(?) When this happens it tends to mean they had all the correct documents needed. At this time we paid the fee in Cash (THERE ARE NO ATMS nearby).

There was a huge rain storm at this point outside and some of the staff actually drove us to the Paragon mall and would not take any money for the trip. Very kind of them!

I see people saying "get the right visa if ur going to stay long term".. but what is the right visa? I'm from the US passport, 47, not rich by any stretch but make a living.. planning to come on visa exempt 30 + 30 extension as I'm coming from Panama. I am aware of the Ed visa which is a consideration but what other visas would you suggest?

Ok, US citizen flying in on the 27th of April and leaving the 23rd of September. Appling online now for a multi entry visa. Plan on leaving Thailand a few times in between. On the application should I put April 27th to September the 23rd or show I'm leaving in sixty days. I have no problem buying a cheap one way ticket to Vietnam showing I'm leaving in sixty days. Also the site says they can choose to give me a single entry visa and no refund on the difference between the two prices. $40 for single and $200 for multiple. Thanks

I want to get a Thai tourist visa electronically and leave Cambodia as soon as possible.

How long does it take for them to process the E-Visa? I am an US citizen.
