Unfortunately you don’t get to choose where you pay taxes, governments decide for you. You will be taxed in the country where your income arises and you will be taxed in the country that you are tax resident.

Anonymous participant nope, completely wrong. A DTV issued for any reason means you are required to pay Thai tax once you become Thai tax resident and remit assessable income above minimum thresholds.

A DTV is a DTV, there is no changing of the visa. You can work remotely on a DTV regardless of the reason it was issued.
