TLDR : Answer Summary
After completing a course related to soft power in Thailand, holders of a 5-year multiple entry DTV (Digital Tourist Visa) can generally leave and re-enter the country without needing to book another class immediately. They are not typically questioned about course enrollment upon returning, although there may be occasional inquiries regarding proof of funds or personal engagements in soft power activities. While it's not mandatory to enroll in another course right away, being able to demonstrate continued involvement in such activities may be beneficial for future stays or extensions.
Last week entry IO asked me about my muay thai training. She didn't asked for new course receipts but I showed her my photos training to stop her inquiry. She was polite. I've re-entry around 6 Times since my DTV started in October 2024
The most correct answer is that you should still be engaged in some sort of soft power activity and should have proof of that.
Currently, I haven’t seen any reports of people being asked but it is within their authority to request up to date documents in order to grant you entry.
Arguably if they were to crack down on DTV holders at some time, the easiest ways would be through bank statements and proof of still being engaged in a soft power activity or remote work.
Currently there are no reports of that being checked on entry. They will check if you try and get an extension at your local immigration office inside Thailand
You have the DTV active leave and come back every 180 days - if you stay and extend you have to show proof as if you are applying again - thus far the only thing ive heard asked when returning is proof of funds in savings and that is rare - never asked to show enrollment in anything when coming back hope that helps
