Hi, my family and I are moving from Canada to Thailand. My husband has his own consulting company and works online. Has anyone moved their business to Thailand, or have you kept your business and residency in your home country? Trying to figure out the best way to go about this, thanks in advance for your help.

Greetings! Would anyone have any experience applying for a visa to be a self-employed musician in Bangkok? There is clearly a great deal of work available for musicians wishing to play at bars/hotels around Thailand, but I would like to do it legally and obtain the correct paperwork. In comparison, in the UK I can register as a self employed musician, then declare my earnings once each year, which decides how much tax I pay. Easy peasy. The Thai system is no doubt different, and I’m wondering if there is anything similar to this available in Thailand for non-Thais? Is anyone (farang) registered self employed at present?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
