Understand, for sure. Don't know if you've looked on google maps, but it can show you the hotels around Bumrungrad and the distance. Then easy to check out each property! My Dad was in his 80's when he had his knee replaced, he aced it! I'm sure you will too. I've been to Bumrungrad a few times to see different doctors. Have been really impressed with the competency, service, and price. (much more so than here in the states)

Aspen Suites Hotel Sukhumvit 2, not too bad. It's a couple blocks down the Soi from Sukhumvit. Decent breakfast

Yes, wonderful country, wonderful people. We do love it here. Although, seemingly against the trend in favorite places, we really enjoy life in Bangkok.
