Could use a bit of advice. We, myself & wife, entered on OA & O visas. We had planned on her 90 days, applying for a extension based on being my family member. It appears we need to leave the country. That would be about mid-ways to her 90 days. We'd need to buy a re-entry permit for return. When returning, would she be stamped in for the remainder of her original 90 day, or would it be 90 days from entering, Or, if after original "stay to date", would her visa be expired? Thanks for any advice, we've just done the OA visa before, and that was pre-covid era.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking clarification on the implications of leaving Thailand before their 90-day OA visa expires, specifically regarding the process of obtaining a re-entry permit. They want to know if, upon re-entry, their wife's remaining stay would be based on her original 90 days or if it would start anew. A comment suggests that the re-entry permit does not alter the visa or extension dates, meaning her visa will expire on the designated date regardless of her exit.
