yes i get the point ;) And you are right it is a very small office, and none of the bosses where present that day. Mine was approved though, with the only difference that i used the 400k. He will go back tomorrow and hopefully things go smoothly then, and his current stamp is valid until 4th November, so there is still time. This topic was just to find out if he would need to get a new non-o or he could use the 60 day extension to get time to season money, in case that would turn out to be needed because they refuse to follow the rules.

the denial was not hypothetical. Even presented with the police order in Thai and English the IO couldn't be bothered. He demanded 400k or an affidavit (which the embassy doesn't do anymore), and could not care less about monthly income shown with international transfer. That might change when the boss is back. But thank you for the answer on the 60 day question.

You have to make online booking in advance in Vientiane, Savanakhet is walk in.. Maybe you should clarify what type of non o you are after as that could be a lot of different visas. As I understand from your post in another group you are after the non o based on being over 50 right?

Yes you can be assistant teacher without degree. Not sure you could long term. But for a year or two, sure.
