After trying app store and play store I cannot find the TM30 app. I see it on my friends phone as "section38". So I know what it looks like. But cannot find itno matter what combination of keyboards on either iOS or Android. Has it been removed?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 app, also known as Section 38, may not be easily found on app stores unless certain conditions are met. Users need to ensure their device's location is set to Thailand and their Google account is configured to the Thai settings. If the app is still elusive, alternatives include using direct links provided by immigration websites or downloading the app through sites like APKPure. For expatriates, registering on the immigration extranet can also facilitate the reporting of stays without the app.

Or just google "section38 apk" download the file and run it to install the app :)

but be careful. It's not Google Playstore,it's APK pure!

I mean APK pure isn't bad but NOT controlled and checked by Google....

Same with downloading local apps like Starbucks and FP or lineman

You have to have your Google country setting set to Thailand...be careful can only change a couple of times

I've set up another Google account in Thailand. Use it for app store and then it's on my device. Seems to work OK.

thanks. Can ask what you mean exactly? I have no vpn and Thai sim. Other than NOT having a vpn how would one confirm location?

To download the Section 38 app your device location needs to be set to Thailand. Otherwise you won’t find it.

You might need to be logged into an account with an address in Thailand to see the app.

this. Either change the regional settings in your appstore to Thailand, or simply create a new email account on gmail or wherever you choose, and set that to Thailand as region, and add it to your phone. You can then switch between them in the appstore. It requires a thai region account to show that app to you.

I never switched my region because I think you can only do it one time per year and was worried some of my other needed apps may not work or update after switching. I didn't realize it was so easy to switch accounts for that though. I'll have to give that a try.

while it seems more tedious on iphone, you only actually need that second ID to find and install the app. Then you can switch it back, so that all your nornal apps will get updates etc.. Just keep the thai ID dormant unless you need it to install something

so just add my Thai address and drivers license to my iCloud profile? Or…?

@Chris ********
no. Read the whole thread under the comment. You need an account that is regionally tied to Thailand. So either you need to change your accounts region or create another account with Thailand as region. Then switch between the accounts as needed.

please note that while I wrote appstore I actually meant playstore (Google). I think it's a little bit different on iphone, but it can be done.

it works on iphone. I created a new account and just login when I need a new app.

This is what I get. I've already got it installed so it comes up with the "open" button rather than the "install" button. I'm in Thailand with True SIM card. No VPN
