Years ago i set up mobile banking at the ATM. It was another thai bank but maybe yours allows it, too. I needed the phone with ne as it sent a temporary password. The ATM never asked for my visa 555

I believe i got my login from the ATM. Somewhere in the menu under other services ;Bangkok bank) for some reason back when i did this recurring transactions were only available on the web version. Now it’s in the app, too

Anonymous participant in the shops ( like the one in bigC or shopping malls) sell normal prepaid ones. Prepaid works a little different here than where I come from. You still have to choose a package but instead of a monthly bill, you need to have enough prepaid balance. I kept my swiss number just for receiving texts from bank or government without any package. Just pay as i use. And because I never use, I don’t pay anything.

Just go to any store like dtac/true or AIS and ask for a normal prepaid sim. For postpaid need more than DTV as far as I know. They took a photo of me holding my passport next to my face lol

Try downloading the bumrungrad hospital application and create an account. In there you can make an appointment with a diabetes doctor for video call. They sent me a list of upcoming appointments abd a note that i need lifetime treatment for my kidney transplant and stroke. But i know my doctors in Bangkok for years. Let your doctor write a note that you need regular check ups ( mine are every 3 months). You could even show upcoming appointment in the hospitals app if immigration asks for it. I only once had to say purpose of stay is mefical treatment. No further explanation needed

I don’t have ktb but when i first set up online bangking, bbl tild me can do at the ATM myself. Try put your card in your banks STM and look for some other services button. The machine only sent an OTP text to my phone but it all worked and the atm doesnt care what visa you have 🙏 good luck

I don’t know much about US carriers. I’m swiss and need my number mostly for receiving texts from banks and Government. I changed from post paid monthly expensive bill to prepaid before i left. Then i switvhed this number to eSim as i had a physical thai sim already. Do wordt case I could lose the 20 bucks on this prepaid. Ask your provider if and how much they charge for incoming calls or texts abroad. And turn off Voice mail before you leave. Every Few months i have to send a text to either myself or someone else to not lose the number. My swiss provider cancel it after too much inactivity
