To avoid the hassle of Thai bureaucracy, I switched to a DTV visa. I had stopped using Thai bank accounts (I have three of them, but I think they closed one) for the last five years and now exclusively use my US credit cards for all the places that accept CCs, like

, Big C, restaurants, nudie bars, etc. I also withdraw 30K cash at a time using my Fidelity ATM card for places where cash is preferred like weed shops, Bolt, mall food courts, etc. When I bought a motorcycle last year, I just paid 500 baht for a residency certificate. It's a real pleasure not to depend on Thai bureaucracy for anything.
Thailand believes it is more acceptable to sacrifice a traveler with unlimited funds than to allow thousands to remain in the country on tourist visas while they work illegally and establish illegal businesses.
I keep posting to use ATM cards and CCs. Get an ATM card that reimburses ATM fees worldwide. For US users, they can use Fiedility and Charles Schwab. Even without ATM fee reimbursed, one will be ahead when 30k is taken out of the ATM for each withdrawal.
Already sent $1000 to my daughter (for purchasing her services for my business), and she will send that to me for purchasing services from my business. I will keep doing this till May next year, when I will apply. Cheers.
