If I'm approved and back to Thailand, how many days do I have to activate the DTV if my current visa is still good? And to activate it will I have to go back to the issuing country and back to Thailand again to activate?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Once you are approved for the DTV, you have 5 years from the issue date to activate it. To activate your visa, you need to exit Thailand and then re-enter the country while showing your DTV.

With all these DTV questions, I now seriously doubt the quality of people getting DTV visas. I think 80% of people were staying in Thailand and working illegally, and now they want to make it legitimate with this visa. And every question is posted as anonymous, bolstering my suspicion.

is agressive, he just sums up facts everybody reading here can see.

I can even add some facts:

Most people want to be back as soon as possible in Thailand, a real digital nomad would nit have problems working for some time in another country.

Mist people want the cheapest soft power option, nobody asks for the best. They are not really interested, it is just an excuses to get the visa.

Most people obviously only have 500K for a very short time. When you ask me to show 500Kit doe not matter if you want to see statements for 1 day, 1 month or 1 year. 500K is just a normal financial reserve.

and what does that have to do with the answer to the question?

nothing to do with the answer to the question, it's a reply to Deepak's reply to the question which was very "Trumpesk" in the sense Trump is also all about chucking/keeping out "illegal" workers also.

You have 5 years from date of issue. You just need to exit the Kingdom and re-enter showing your DTV.

Anonymous participant and cancel your old visa because you can't have 2

How do you cancel the first visa? Online, at immigration?
Gabe ********
@Jonathan **********
depends on the kind of visa. My non-B was convoluted with work permit, visa, suspending the corp, final accounting, and commercial rental space. Other visas you probably just go to immigration and done.
