I use credit cards wherever they are accepted and my US ATM card to withdraw cash from ATM machines. Use your home country's credit/debit cards. Indians often propagandize India's UPI system as the greatest invention since sliced bread. What happened? don't they work in Thailand. Every Chinese person I know in Thailand uses their Alipay/UnionPay to pay everywhere

WHat is your issue? I know you cannot send money from India to Thailand using Wise or open a Wise account from India. For a DTV, you have to show money in a bank account. It does not matter which bank account. You can show the equivalent amount of money in an Indian bank account. There is absolutely no connection between a DTV and a Wise bank account.
