Stuart Chiverton for 10 years when I used to get agent assistance, I have changed agents thrice. So you are never tied to one agent. It is only a myth. Make sure that the agent is local and he gets you the stamp from local immigration where you are staying. It is better to have a foot hold in one place before getting the agent. If you want to be a nomad, get a nomad visa aka DTV. It is illegal if your stamps are not legal. Then you will be in big trouble. In Pattaya, you can visit the agent in person and he will assist you with a genuine stamp from the local immigration office.

Johan E. Bengtsson Sometimes people need to be reminded of their inadequacies so that they don't commit to learning. Learning is better than just posting a link.

Gaurav Sarma I have been living in Thailand with my US credit cards and ATM cards for five years, with no issues at all. Every 7-Eleven takes credit cards. I use credit cards wherever they are accepted and my US ATM card to withdraw cash from ATM machines. Use your home country's credit/debit cards. Indians often propagandize India's UPI system as the greatest invention since sliced bread. What happened? don't they work in Thailand. Every Chinese person I know in Thailand uses their Alipay/UnionPay to pay everywhere

Or you can use your income in the us to obtain an oa visa for retirement from the USA. The oa mandates health insurance for the entire year.

WHat is your issue? I know you cannot send money from India to Thailand using Wise or open a Wise account from India. For a DTV, you have to show money in a bank account. It does not matter which bank account. You can show the equivalent amount of money in an Indian bank account. There is absolutely no connection between a DTV and a Wise bank account.
