Single entry tourist visa is 60 days, which you can extend at the immigration office in the area you are staying in Thailand adding 30 days = 90 days total.

You must apply through this official website, but not now because once issued, you must enter within 3 months of issuing date. Your 60 days starts on your arrival date.

Open an account nearby where you live and most convenient for yourself.

Branches are rather fussy about doing simple tasks if it's not being done in the branch where the account was opened.

Aside from first going in with your wife, bring your passport, residence certificate or rental agreement, dress smart and obtain their list of singular requirements beyond the above.

Eat a hearty breakfast or lunch before going; what shouldn't take a long while often does... 🙃 555
