I agree the post was unnecessarily alarmist but I am just saying I wish we could all learn what caused him to get the extra scrutiny, as on the face of it, the info he posted seemed like he wouldn't get a second glance, so I think many suspected there must be more particulars than he stated.
Thank you! Google Translate interpreted that first option as "Record" which I mistakenly thought meant it was the button to see the old records and not "record" in the sense of "save."
That was a particularly interesting case that stood out from all the recent posts as it seemed his situation was different from many others who have had issues, and it would have been great to find out more details of what would make an IO question him or why they finally decided what they did.
I do wish there was a way to have you keep the threads open enough for the OP to post additional details. For example, with the Danish guy in Phuket, it would have been very useful for him to be able to update his post to answer the questions the more knowledgeable members of this group would ask to truly drill down to the reason he was being hassled. For many posts, I find they often will just say they entered X number of times and then got denied, without giving details of how long they stayed each time, if they got extensions, how long they stayed away, and if they returned back to their home country in between. These would help everyone see if the IO is likely suspecting they lived here based on entry and stay pattern.
, after I submit each person's data by pressing the blue add to data file button, I see everyone listed on the brown grid at the bottom of the registration page, but then when I go to the page to check the records, it doesn't list anyone. I have made sure I put the date range correctly and even waited 24 hours to try searching the records again in case the system was down. Was I supposed to press something to do a final submission on the data submission page after adding everyone to the brown fields at the bottom of the screen? I didn't see a final submit button or anything to indicate I was done adding everyone. OR does it mean my submission was rejected? I only filled in the required fields (left the type of visa and a few other optional fields blank.)
Instead of loading a file why don't you type the required info in English into the fields on their reporting page after you log in? That way you have an immediate confirmation that the record was filed correctly.
I appreciated your last answer and gladly it was indeed no issue when I exited but I just meant at the time it wasn't mentioned that getting stamped in visa exempt meant I also couldn't work that time. That's an interesting additional point to add to the consideration why I shouldn't get stamped in that way.
I wasn't sure if I needed to actually be stamped in on my Non-B to work, even if I have a work permit and a Non-B in my passport. If you recall, a couple of weeks ago, you answered my post about the IO accidentally stamping me in as Visa Exempt rather than on my non-B and you said it should be no problem as I was only staying in Thailand a week that trip.
