Can I retain and renew my work permit if I switch from a non-B Visa to an Elite, Investment, or Retirement Visa in Thailand?

I currently have a non-B Visa and a work permit as a company director. My non-B is expiring soon, and if I switch to an Elite Visa, investment visa or retirement visa, can I still keep and renew my work permit or is a work permit only valid with a non-B visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The consensus is that a work permit in Thailand is typically only valid with a non-B visa. Users noted that transitioning to an Elite, Investment, or Retirement visa does not allow for the retention or renewal of a work permit. Specifically, comments indicated that no work permit is permissible under the Elite Visa, Investment Visa, or Retirement Visa categories.

Thanks everyone, I guess I have my answer. Not possible... Which means I can't even consider paying for an Elite Visa for convenience.

Robert if you have the little handbook that comes with the Elite visa it clearly states they assist with you obtaining a work permit and relevant visa.

Pui, I have an Elite visa and while you can make investments and enjoy the profits / dividends from those investments....a work permit is not possible.

The B visa negates the Elite Visa from my understanding so I am not sure what would be the point of doing that

Whilst you cannot work on the Elite visa they do offer a service that helps you obtain a B visa and work permit.
