Can anyone advice the best Thai sim to buy on holiday. I need data so I can use WhatsApp etc .

Question: can you buy one sim and package and use all over Thailand ? Meaning no extra cost txt/calls from say Phuket to Bangkok? Asking as Canada has many long distance zones.

I prefer AIS.. Good Mobile Data coverage and lots of WiFi hotspots... But they're all OK

The 3 major Thai carriers are AIS, dtac and True. You can easily see their prepaid plan options on their websites. All are similar prices and coverage in the major cities.

I've had AIS for years but it was starting to get dodgy in certain areas, especially when going up to our house up north. I changed to True and its much better and cheaper.

AIS is the best. It has the most coverage especially in rural areas.

AIS. Good prices and they have by far the best coverage throughout the country, even in a lot of pretty remote areas and national parks.
