I would say, it depends on which uni. I've friends who enrolled in public unis and are very mad that they can't get in even though they've applied since a year.

a generalization is a generalization because there's enough data to prove a certain generalization and the OP did agree with me except that he just said he's not a big fan of marriage and some people who are on the marriage visa here aren't a "big fan" of marriage either but do it as "might as well since I have someone and it'll get me a visa". And I didn't say the OP or any man comes here FOR marriage but they do come here for women. If Thailand had a massacre on women, and there were not a single thai woman left, not many of them will be here.

But you will meet a Thai woman here and then you can go for marriage visa then you would waste those other 18 years.
