anyone recently did a 6 month thai ED visa in CM? which school and how was it? I don't want to commit to a year so that's why 6 months would be better for me. Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry is about obtaining a 6-month Thai Education (ED) visa in Chiang Mai. Several comments indicate that a 6-month ED visa may not be available, with the standard option being a single-entry ED visa requiring enrollment in a full course. It is suggested that if the person is not willing to commit to a long-term study program, they should consider other visa options to stay in Thailand.

If you do not want to commit to a full course I suggest to find another way to stay inside Thailand. The ED visa is for people who like to study something, not just to be here.

You buy a Visa at a Thai Consulate or Embassy. In this area all the ED visa's are Single Entry ED VIsa unless you follow a University program, which give you 90 days of stay. You can Extend this stay with 60 or 90 days depending on your area. You need documentation from you school to apply for this Visa and for the Extension of Stay.
