@Ellie ******
option 2 has been initiated by my company. They are saying 1-2 weeks processing. Is that realistic? I’m gonna have a hard time sitting in KL for two weeks not working

I need to do other things including returning to Thailand. So I’ll cancel visa, leave, submit docs showing I left and apply online for e-Visa as instructed by my company. All the paperwork on their side is done.

Any idea how long I have before I must leave once cancelled. I had forgotten to ask earlier

I’ve done both ways. Prefer the retirement option as I need nothing from her. Just in case she’s in a mood.

that’s exactly what I did. Just changed from marriage to retirement. Easy for me and if, god forbid, something happens to my wife it’s not an issue.

correct it’s about keeping his retirement visa extension. Which is what I said I do. He also stated he’s rarely in country for 60 days. I said I’m in same boat. Sorry if the words 90 day reporting confused you

I’m in similar situation. I’ve had retirement extensions for last four years but never do reporting because I’m not in country long enough. I keep renewing as I know I won’t have any issues.

as mentioned a few times before, immigration doesn’t ask. It’s his inbound airline who may ask

I scanned out last thirsday and have multi re-entry permit. Don’t worry.

Earlier this year when they started scanning outgoing passengers I was not able to use the scanner. I was told it was because I had a multi re-entry. Seems they have worked out since then. Back on Friday 😊
